Running Accomplishments:

Started running 5 years ago...have run 5 marathons and countless halfs and other shorter races.  Now big into triathlons (doing half IMs now and training for the FL Ironman on 11/6/10).  Am trying ONE MORE TIME to qualify for Boston...need 3:45 and my PR is 3:53.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to BQ in May 2010 and go to Boston in  April 2011.  After that I will more than likely focus on improving my triathlon skills.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to continue to run injury free until my last day on Earth.  I truly love running and believe it is the foundation of physical and mental health.  I also want to be a positive role model for my children (but want them to run because they want to not because I tell them to...)

Personal:

I am married with 2 young children.  Am an RN but work full time selling medical devices.  I've been a 'health nut' my whole life and enjoy being around others with similar interests.

Was only scheduled for a swim today but did an easy 2 miler to keep my legs loose.  Feeling good with the taper/recovery for N.O. in a week and a half.

Did an indoor brick workout...so it was a 50 minute spin (did a class) then hit the treadmill.  I was scheduled to do 30 min but had to cut it short (22 min) to get home and get the kids to school.  I am in a taper/recovery week for the New Orleans Half Ironman on Sunday, April 18th.

I ran early...just an easy 4 miler...then took advantage of the nice weather and rode my bike outdoor for 35 miles.  I was not scheduled to ride but it's been so cold and wet that I had to get out in the Spring sunshine.  Rode moderately and felt good.  It was a bit windy though.
